When 38-year-old Casey returned to his hometown for his father's wedding, he wasn't expecting to be hit on by 24-year-old Drew at a local gay bar. Reluctantly turning down a date, Casey thought that would be the last he saw of Drew ... until he met the son of his father's fiance.

Casey is a thirty-eight year old screenwriter for independent films, Drew is a twenty-four year old smart and sassy handful. The two meet in a gay bar in Birmingham, Alabama of all places. And despite what Casey sees as an insurmountable age difference, the two hit it off from the get-go. Although Casey is estranged from his father, he has returned to the deep south to attend his father's wedding. Drew is not out to his family yet. Then, lo and behold: It turns out that Drew is Andrew, i.e., Andy, the son of the woman that Casey's dad is about to marry. Throw in a local film festival, an investigative journalist out to make trouble, and a protagonist with a truly funny, sarcastic sense of humor, and you have a (too) short novella that is a pleasure to read from beginning to end. Predictable? Yes. Enjoyable? Double Yes!!! And, I was surprised at the end to realize that there had been virtually no sex scenes. The characters were so well written that "blow by blow, tab A fits into slot B, physical measurements" descriptive nonsense was totally unnecessary. This author delivers such a clear emotional message that the mechanical stuff is totally superfluous. Well done, K.C.!Product details

Oh Brother! Kenneth Carter 9781505441970 Books Reviews
The version I got when I downloaded this book was black print against a dark gray background. Too tiring to read.
My rating is for the quality of the download, not the content of the book.
I have to admit, I usually don't read a book without sex in it, but this book grabbed me from the first line. It was fun, witty and had me laughing from the first word to the last. Mr Carter has done a wonderful job of capturing our MC's thoughts and apprehension about his father's wedding and returning home. Loved it!!!
Would make a great movie. a light read
